It was quite by accident that I fell into a practice of macro photography. My mum noticed how much I was enjoying using the macro lens and she began bringing me gifts - bags of dried up old leaves, collected from around her garden! It brought me so much delight to open those bags and see what organic materials of different descriptions would be there, in some form of decay or decline. It became a source of consistent discovery and a practice that brought me the kind of calm you might find in meditation. So I kept returning, as nature is full of variety and my macro lens would always show me a perspective and a world of colour and light that I couldn’t otherwise see. I’m forever grateful for the renewed perspective this photographic habit provides. Perhaps you find joy here too, or something else. Please enjoy taking a look.
