In the outback of Australia the country can be harsh and unforgiving. It is also profoundly beautiful and mesmerising. With the macro lens, the same contrast appears, both the sharpness and the softness working together to create survival. I see myself as being equally as complex and nuanced as this. I always find likenesses to humanity in nature. At the heart of it we are made of the same stuff. And it reminds me to celebrate myself as well as these living beauties.
